Who I am

I’m Sarah, a British editorial and communications consultant who’s been living in the Netherlands since 2017. So yes, after that many years, I do speak Dutch (my fifth language).

I started out writing and editing, but soon realised that organisations also need support with strategy; we all like pretty words, but if no one sees them, what’s the point? These days, I help mission-led organisations create clear, engaging content and make sure it reaches their target audience.

My background is in international affairs – I have a BA in Modern Languages (French, Russian, and Spanish) and an MA in Russian and Eurasian Studies, so I’ve always gravitated towards organisations doing important work, whether that’s NGOs, think tanks, or independent media.

My unhealthy obsession with the internet means I’m always up-to-date on the latest in AI in content production and search. Though you won’t catch me getting an LLM to write for me, I know how to use prompts for an efficient workflow.
